Hello, my name is Kerri Licini. I have been working with children since I was 10 years old. Yes, in 1985 parents let a 10 year old babysit their kids. My nephew, who I helped raise, was born when I was 13. I started working at a Library School in the summer when I was 14.
I currently hold a Florida Director of Child Care and Education Certification, Board Certification in Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Master of Arts in Applied Behavior Analysis, Master of Arts in Education with a Specialization in Cross-Categorical Special Education, Bachelor in Psychology, New Jersey Teacher of Special Education, Teacher of P-3, Teacher of K-5, and Teacher of Supplemental 6-8 Certifications.
I have been working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) since 2004. I am the Owner and Executive Director of Licini BCBA, Inc. (www.LiciniInc.com) for many years I have heard stories of parents with children diagnosed with ADD, ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorders, ASD, getting frequent phone calls to pick their kids up from school because they engaged in a behavior that was not understood by the professionals at their current school. I have created the Differentiated Learning Center (DLC) for Multiple Intelligence to have a safe and nurturing environment where these children can learn hands on with movement and have a staff that is educated in special needs and mental health needs that will work through challenging behavior and not send the child home.
All of our teachers and teachers assistants are wonderful, caring people who come to work on a daily basis with love in their heart for helping our students learn, grown, and have fun on a daily basis.
