Step-Up funding — common questions
Funding amounts vary based on your child's Matrix Score level. Visit our Step-Up Funding page for a full breakdown of what each level covers, or contact Laura Melvin at Laura@LiciniInc.com for personalized guidance.
Yes! Contact your new Florida school district to schedule an IEP evaluation. Once you have a Matrix Score from a FL IEP, you can apply for Step-Up funding at the appropriate level.
This process takes time — we recommend starting as early as possible to avoid delays in funding.
Your child's Matrix Score is calculated from their current FL IEP and determines their Step-Up funding level. If you don't see a Matrix Score on your child's IEP, contact your school district to request it — this ensures your child receives the full funding amount they're entitled to.
